Our gold plated jewels are made of brass with a 3 micron layer of 18 karat gold. They are plated in Italy, Italy being well known for the quality of its gold plating. But you may still not be sure what does 18k gold plated mean exactly?
It indicates how much pure gold such piece of jewelry contains. 18 karat gold plated means that the golden layer which covers it contains 75% of pure gold. The thickness of gold plating on jewelry is noted in microns and it determines how long the gold will last with usage. 3 microns means they have been plated 7 times during 3 minutes in 75% pure gold. They are very resistant, does not tarnish and are water resistant.
~ OUR 925 STERLING SILVER JEWELS ~
Jewels are made of a minimum of 92,5% of pure silver and 7,5% of coper. 925 sterling silver has a number of unique advantages. Perhaps most notably, it's more durable than pure silver. Its higher alloy content makes it more resilient to scratches. In addition, sterling silver is very malleable. Many jewelers actually prefer it because it can be molded into a variety of shapes

HOW TO MAINTAIN MY JEWELS?
We recommand to limit contact with perfume, chlorinated water, chemicals and costmetics. For this reason, we advise to put on your jewelry AFTER beauty treatment (dry skin).
Just like you, your jewelry needs to rest. So from time to time remember to take it off when you go to bed. Our small fabrics pouches or gift box are perfect to protect them from light and humidity. Think of them when you are not wearing them or take it on a trips. It will even prevent them from getting tangled.
HOW TO CLEAN MY JEWELS?
~ FOR GOLD PLATED & STAINLESS STEE : a soft dry cloth is enough to revive the shine of the gold, which develops a slight patina over time and/or give an extra glow.
~ FOR STERLING SILVER 925 : by nature, our silver jewels are more sensitive than our gold plated and stainless steel jewels. Take extra care of them. Use a wet tooth-brush with baking soda. Gently brush your jewels then wash it with clear water and dry them with a shammy.
